We are currently being observed and profiled to an unprecedented degree, be it through loyalty cards or our browsing history on google. Voice analysis software can also be used to generate an individual profile or assist in deciding if someone is telling the truth. Voice analysis and personal profiling is a growing area of research and practice for governments and private companies.

Profiling could be considered as a contemporary form of portraiture.

The listener can navigate through a variety of categories defined by the software: truth, confusion, embarrassment, stress, excitement & anticipation and suspected lies and untruths. 

It may not be a positive self portrait. However it could be the type of profile may of us are creating when we cross borders or interact with telesales people, insurance companies and big corporations.
